3S Index iS ... 3S Index "in the Stocks": when calculating the Index, the number of shares of each asset is "equal".

It is taken "1". This is the "Equality of Shares" rule.

3S Index iM ... 3S Index "in the Money": when calculating the Index, the number of shares of each asset is "unequal".

At the inception ('incept date'), the number of shares is calculated from the condition

"the same amount of money is invested for each asset (approximately)".

This is the "Equality of Money" rule.

IMPORTANT NOTE :

In practice, as a special case to calculate a 3S Index iM and evaluate a stock portfolio,

the number of shares (amount of money) for each asset can be specified

by an Investor independently, without the "Equality of Money" rule.

'incept date'  &  'update date' ... inception day of stock/ETF set  &  the specific date to which the data was updated.

They are indicated on each chart.

EXAMPLE :

- USSM 'incept date' Large cap stock set,  Value as of 'update date'

- 3S Index iS (USSM 'incept date' Large cap stock set),  % as of 'update date'

IMPORTANT NOTE :

If the purpose is stock market indexation, then 'incept date' = 'update date'.

Large cap ... Large capitalization.
