3S Index - Review

Morzhanov Project is engaged design a methods and tools of analysis and investing at the Stock Market.

We created stock market assessment method named "3S-indexation", which allows design or reconstruction a stock/ETF investment portfolio (set). Its simple graphical display is

Stock set Signature Index (3S Index).

This index, in its logic and building, is fundamentally different from existing (used) stock market indices. It's special feature is that the index is focused on the investment portfolio of a Private Investor and takes into account the number of shares of each asset in the portfolio.

The 3S Index calculated in two variants that complement each other: 3S Index iS and 3S Index iM.

The method for calculating the 3S Index iS/iM is not currently published.

3S Index iS/iM for What

The main goal of 3S Index iS/iM is the design or reconstruction of your investment portfolio (stock/ETF set).

In essence, a Private Investor conducts indexation and analysis of a personal investment portfolio (stock/ETF set).

For this, the Stock set Signature is created - External Trend and Internal Trends are determined. Their analysis is being carried out.

But the structure (composition) of most (may be all) used stock market indexes is similar a stock set. Thus, using the 3S Index iS/iM, it is possible to index not only different stock set, but also different stock markets, for example, to index the US Stock Market.

3S Index iS/iM can show the position of the stock market or your stock/ETF set. The index has estimates “max” (stock market or stock/ETF set “at the top”) and “min” (stock market or stock/ETF set “at the bottom”). This allows for insights into investment portfolio prospects and this has nothing to do with the concepts of “overbought”, “oversold” and "volatility" that you know.

Separately on volatility. The 3S Index iS/iM does not directly show market volatility. It is possible to estimate volatility through ETF set 3S Index iS/iM (Volatility Hedged ETF).

The 3S Index iS/iM is relative value and resembles an oscillator, making it easy to visualize and track.

3S Index iS/iM for Whom

The 3S Index iS/iM was created by a private investor for private investors and is designed to maximize returns on stock/ETF investments in the Stock Market.

3S Index iS/iM for Use

First. You can use 3S Index iS/iM to index your investment portfolio (stock/ETF set) in order to:

design an investment portfolio (stock/ETF set) with an assessment of its prospects;
analysis of the current investment portfolio (stock/ETF set) with an assessment of its prospects;
modeling management/reconstruction (changes in composition/volume) of your current investment portfolio (stock/ETF set) with an assessment of the prospects for these changes.

Second. 3S Index iS/iM can be used to index the stock market as a whole, for example, the US stock market as noted above.

Third. 3S Index iS/iM is universal. It can be used to index different stock markets and be applied to different investment portfolios (stock set) in those markets.

NOTE : The 3S Index iS/iM cannot be applied to commodity, currency or cryptocurrency markets directly. But it is possible evaluate these markets through ETF set, such as the Currency, Bond or Volatility

Important Points

First. In the beginning you need an idea and goal. An investment portfolio (stock/ETF set) can be compiled according to any your ideas and criteria. Then, 3S-indexation will show quality and help assess the prospects of your new or current portfolio.

Thus, 3S Index iS/iM is a method ant tool for analyzing and managing your investment portfolio.

Second. When new stock market data is added to the 3S Index iS/iM calculation (data update) or the 3S Index iS/iM components are revised or both, the 3S Index iS/iM dynamics is change. These changes from update to update (e.g. month to month) are the subject of analysis. This is an important feature of this index.

Third. 3S-indexing of the stock market and 3S-indexing of your investment portfolio (stock/ETF set) are carried out using the same method. Therefore, in order to obtain important information about the prospects of your investment portfolio, you must to compare the 3S Index iS/iM dynamics of your investment portfolio with the 3S Index iS/iM dynamics of the corresponding stock market.
